Netflix: 3 Mbps for SD quality, 5 Mbps for HD, and 25 Mbps for Ultra HD.

Yes. Exede Voice is optimized specifically for our network and includes unlimited local and long-distance calling in North America. Visit the Exede Voice web page to learn more about this service, how to save money and keep your current phone number.
While VoIP services from other providers usually will work with Exede, your results will probably be better with Exede Voice because that service has been optimized for the Exede satellite service. And there is an additional saving – your data allowance is not charged for using Exede Voice like it would be if you used another VoIP service.
Your equipment will be installed by an experienced and highly-trained professional technician. Our certified installers will also activate your Exede Internet service at your chosen location and make sure everything is operating properly.
The received for the Internet service is a satellite mini-dish that is approximately 28 inches high and 30 inches wide. It can placed on a roof, on an outside wall, or in the ground. Your technican will mount it in the best and most appropriate spot and connect it by cable to the modem inside. You can then connect the modem directly to your computer or set up a personal wireless network.
The typical installation will take less than 3 hours.
No. Our technicians are specially trained to install the dish so it is pointed accurately and the satellite for optimal performance. The technician will also verify that all connections are properly made.
Residential antennas, like satellite dishes including Exede’s, are subject to the Federal Communications Commission’s Over-the-Air Reception Devices Rule (OTARD). Among other things, this regulation outlines what control a homeowners, condo, or coop association can have over these devices. The associations can enter into a program of a community or common antenna system which may restrict the installation of individual antennas or dishes. It also states that without a common antenna, the association cannot do anything to unreasonably restrict the installation of individual dishes. It’s always best to check the specific rules andf convenants of your association as it my relate to this.
Yes. There is a minimum service term of 24 months. If you disconnect your service before the end of that period, you may be liable for an early termination fee (ETF) of $15 for each month left on your contract.
As an example, if you were to cancel service after 15 months of your 24-month contract: 9 months remaining on the contract @ $15 would equal a $135 early termination fee.
Although it may seem that you get an instant response when you hit the enter button on your computer, there is actually a time delay. This is what’s called “latency”. It’s more visible when a web page tries to load. Historically, older technology and latency have been issues with satellite Internet service. Exede developed cutting-edge web acceleration technology, which greatly accelerates page-load times, minimizing the effect of latency.
All this technology is incorporated into our high capacity satellite so you receive much higher speeds and a much faster, more responsive web browsing experience.
Latency from a satellite in orbit some 22,000 miles above the equator is greater than cable or DSL networks. But for Exede, it’s not enough to make a big difference in most of your activities (things like certain games and VPN services may be an exception).
Employees who telecommute or independent contractors who work from home frequently utilize Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to connect to corporate networks. These types of connections may be very slow on any satellite service, including Exede Internet. Some VPNs may not work at all while others may work just fine. To make a determination if your VPN will work or not, take your VPN-equipped laptop to a dealer and test it.
There are many factors that can influence how well your games perform using satellite internet – physical location and gaming platform among many variables. In general, online multiplayer games don’t work very well – with latency being one factor. Actual performance will range from not working at all to working ok at best.
On the other hand, Exede satellite will deliver better results for turn-based multiplayer or single-player games that incorporate fewer online elements.
Gamers especially should be aware that software updates and content that is downloaded count toward your data allowance and this can accumulate quickly.
